The Interview

In addition to writing a Résumé, a Cover Letter, and filling out a job application, one of the final requirements for all ROP/CTE courses is to participate in a mock interview. I've added several pages for students to prepare for the interview:
  1. Interview Questions: The most-asked 50 questions, and 10 Oddball Questions. Students can review these questions to prepare for their mock interview, either with Mr. Wing or with another student, in the comfort of their own home(s).
  2. Interview Videos: Students are provided several choices for how to prepare for and conduct an interview. This page provides links for students to upload their videos
  3. Video Résumés are of the latest technological trends, instead of going on an actual interview. These options prepare students and gives them practice in creating video résumés. Here's a link to some sample video résumés. And here's another link that presents ways on "How to create a Killer Video Résumé."

Doing What You Love

There's an old axiom that says, "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." While it's not terribly practical in every situation, is it still a good goal to shoot for? Check out this article, and consider the ramifications posited; you might be surprised at what you learn.
